When it comes to making people their purpose, S&T’s partnership with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) aligns directly with this important Bank value.

In 2023, S&T first hosted Lemonade Days in Central, PA and then expanded their fundraising efforts Bank-wide in 2024. Since then, employees, customers and community members have raised nearly a half-million dollars to support ALSF’s mission to change the lives of children with cancer through funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families and empowering everyone to help cure childhood cancer.

ALSF honors the legacy of Alexandra (Alex) Scott, who at just four years old, selflessly worked to raise money for research as she was personally battling childhood cancer. Before her passing in 2004, Alex had reached her goal of raising $1 million dollars, inspiring others to continue hosting lemonade stands in her memory to support finding a cure. To date, ALSF has raised more than $300 million dollars and is the largest independent childhood cancer charity in the United States.

Jason Forman, S&T Bank’s chief consumer and business banking officer, says that each year team members go above and beyond to do the right thing supporting ALSF.  According to Forman,  “As we enter our fourth year of hosting lemonade stands, our employees’ enthusiasm seems to continually expand, producing remarkable results across our footprint. With the help of our customers and communities, S&T has consistently been able to exceed our fundraising goals to help children and families affected by childhood cancer. I’m hopeful this year will be another outstanding week for such a worthwhile cause.”

S&T’s Director of Branch Banking, Jodi Presloid states, “When our employees believe in supporting a cause, their creativity and dedication to having a positive influence are contagious and generate amazing outcomes. To think that we’ve raised nearly $250,000 in just three years is proof positive of our people-forward purpose having a real impact on the lives of others. This fundraiser is an example of our values in action, and I can’t wait to see the energy, kindness and generosity that our 2026 Lemonade Days will bring to life.”

This year’s fundraisers will run May 30 through June 6. Lemonade stands will be held at S&T locations across Western, Central and Southeastern PA as well as in Columbus, Ohio.
