How We Engage With Our Communities

S&T team members volunteered with Aging Services. Inc. in Indiana, PA. Employees assisted clients with home painting, window washing, general cleaning, etc. Aging Services works to promote and preserve client independence.

In a win as one team effort, our team members in Central and Northeast Ohio came together to make people our purpose at the Autism Speaks Cleveland Topgolf Tournament. The friendly competition raised funds for the organization which promotes solutions across the spectrum and throughout life for individuals with autism and their families.

Joining with the United Way of Summit and Medina (UWSM) Days to make people our purpose, S&T team members helped assemble First-Time Mom bags to provide items to support mothers in their post-partum journey. This can help alleviate costs associated with the price of post-partum and baby care items.

S&T team members came together to make people our purpose by volunteering with Good Works of Coatesville, PA. Good Works is a Christian nonprofit organization that works to repair homes at no cost for low-income families in Central and Northern Chester County.

As part of our people-forward banking purpose, S&T donated over $12,000 to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh through the DVE Rocks Children Radiothon! This August, we pledged $100 for every Smart Start Banking account opened.

S&T Bank presented a check for $1,100 to the Mrs. Claus Club of North Hills, PA. This non-profit organization provides comfort kits (blankets, hats, hygiene items, etc.) to local men and women going through chemotherapy treatments.

S&T Bank hosted a golf outing in Indiana, PA to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), helping raise over $5,000. LLS works to cure blood cancer and improve the quality of life for patients and their families.

S&T team members volunteered at The Wardrobe in Exton, PA. Employees were paired and worked together to assemble Wardrobe Boxes for individuals in need. The boxes are given to approved participants, and The Wardrobe’s mission is to end clothing insecurity and eliminate fashion waste.

S&T Bank donated $1,000 to Chester County Futures, an organization with a mission to care for the economically disadvantaged youth in the Coatesville, PA area. The organization provides academic support, scholarships and mentoring to help young persons succeed in academics and life.

S&T team members provided financial education to youth attending summer camp at Hosanna House in Wilkinsburg, PA. Employees continued making people our purpose by engaging attendees with comic books and budget blaster activities. The camp invites students to enjoy a variety of activities in a safe, structured setting, led by caring mentors.

S&T employees volunteered with the Akron Canton Regional Foodbank. Team members worked together to sort and pack food for distribution to those in need. This food bank partners with over 600 food pantries, meal sites and other hunger-relief programs.

S&T team members volunteered at a golf outing to benefit The Union Mission located in Latrobe, PA. Employees helped facilitate the event which raises funds to support the mission in providing resources that lead to safe, affordable and sustained housing. The Union Mission strives to be a place where housing and support are offered for those experiencing economic and/or personal life crises.

Team members at our Bank branches in Allegheny and Westmoreland Counties came together to win as one team, raising $1,000 for the White Oak Safe Haven Animal Shelter. The monies will assist with Veterinary care expenses for their no-kill shelter located in White Oak, PA.

S&T team members volunteered at the Veteran’s Leadership Program (VLP) Military Food Share in Johnstown, PA. VLP works to empower Veterans to navigate the transitions of life. Volunteers helped sort, prepare and distribute food to all Veterans in need of this assistance.

S&T employees and advisory board members attended the American Heart Association’s (AHA) Go Red for Women Luncheon in Camp Hill, PA. S&T’s Andrea Splain, business banker, delivered a meaningful speech as this year’s Chair. The event raised $164,000 for the AHA.

S&T took winning as one team to the next level for the second year in a row at the 2025 Lifesteps VIP Serve, Battle of the Banks! A large group effort was made and victory was achieved to help raise over $13,000 for the Lifesteps Family Caring Fund which helps individuals and families with life’s changing needs. This annual event brings some friendly competition and fun, but the real achievement is serving our communities together!

S&T team members volunteered at a Junior Achievement (JA) Biztown of Western Pennsylvania event. JA is a non-profit organization that works to inspire and prepare young people for success. Team members helped facilitate a fully interactive, mock town that simulated real-life functions in business and helped students connect what they’ve learned in school with the realities of everyday work and life.

S&T Bank donated to the Kingsley Association, a community center in East Liberty, PA. The team at S&T’s East Liberty branch is working with the Association to offer upcoming financial literacy and homebuyer education workshops, as part of the branch’s commitment to financial literacy efforts in the community.

S&T Bank donated $10,000 to Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Inc. (PAWW), an independent, statewide non-profit organization providing support to Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Veterans in crisis and their families. During the 2024-2025 Steelers football season, as part of their partnership with iHeartRadio, S&T pledged $300 to PAWW for every Steelers takeaway that occurred in a game as announced during the postgame broadcasts.

S&T team members came together to win as one team by participating in Adopt-A-Highway to clean up a portion of Pennsylvania State Route 422. Ten bags of trash were collected to help beautify over two and one-half miles of highway. These events are part of an ongoing effort to keep PA clean!

S&T team members volunteered with Beverly’s PGH. This organization works to ensure that every child and family in their community has access to support and resources to help them thrive. The three divisions: Birthdays, Babies and Basics, provide this assistance with compassion and care. Bank employees packed over 75 gift boxes to be given to children at birthday parties and helped prepare for future celebrations.

S&T donated $10,000 to the Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh in partnership for financial education workshops being offered to individuals and business owners. The Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh focuses on serving African-Americans and other minorities. They help others help themselves through education, health advocacy, youth development, career preparation and more.

S&T presented a donation of $2,500 to support Project Home’s 2025 Bring Philly Home event. Project Home’s mission is to empower adults, children and families to break the cycle of poverty and homelessness.

S&T presented a check to Community Warehouse Project (CWP) of Chester County, PA to sponsor their Furnishing Hope Event. CWP provides beds, collects and redistributes used furniture and household items to individuals, families and Veterans in need within the region.

S&T Bank coordinated their 2025 Share a Smile Day to benefit Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) that provides vital care to children as well as support to their families in times of need. Over $4,000 was raised from collections at 14 Bank locations and a special employee T-shirt sale.

During 2024, S&T Bank worked to collect plastic for the Trex Recycling Program. When an organization collects at least 1,000 pounds of plastics over a 12-month period, Trex provides them with a bench made from recycled composite materials. After reaching that goal, S&T decided to donate their bench to the Clymer Volunteer Fire Department that sustained significant damage during a flood.

S&T employees participated in the YWCA Just for You Box campaign by putting together over 30 boxes to assist women in need. Items included personal hygiene items, chocolate treats, gloves, hats, scarfs and a gift card.

S&T sponsored and attended the American Heart Association (AHA) Lancaster Heart Ball. The Heart of Lancaster takes the Heart Ball campaign beyond the ballroom, bringing the work of the AHA to life. The campaign is focused on standing for everyone by driving equitable health for all.

S&T Bank served as a $5,000 sponsor for the Akron Children’s Hospital radiothon. Team members presented the check donation and also showed their community commitment by working the phones to collect donations for the 2025 hospital fundraiser.

S&T continued our support of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra (PSA) and sponsored the pre-concert activities at the PSO’s Fiddlesticks performance. Bank employees and family members enjoyed volunteering in the family-friendly, fun activity rooms on the evening of the Fiddlesticks concert.

S&T donated $1,600 to the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Arts (SAMA). This donation will serve to help provide vital art education programs to the rural communities of Central Southwestern, PA. SAMA’s programs serve students, Veterans and senior citizens, ensuring access to the arts for a diverse population.
